Volontärbyrån – The Volunteer Bureau of Sweden
Introduction to the Partner
Volontärbyrån matches volunteers and non-profit organisations through our web-based matching site www.volontarbyran.org. We provide training in volunteer management for voluntary organisations on how to attract, recruit, motivate and keep volunteers. We also provide information and knowledge on volunteering. Volontärbyrån control all voluntary assignments before they are being published. Volontärbyrån was launched in 2002 and has since then matched over 16 000 volunteers with our network of over 900 non-profit organisations. Volontärbyrån also help companies to create employee volunteer programs, e.g for Skandia and Accenture in Sweden.
Volontärbyrån is a project under Forum for voluntary social work (Swedish equivalent to NCVO) and is partly financed by the Swedish government, partly by company programs.
