Third Sector Foundation of Turkey (TUSEV)

Introduction to the Partner

TUSEV was established in 1993 by Turkey’s leading CSOs, and has now grown to a supporting network of over 100 associations and foundations that share a vision of strengthening the legal, fiscal and operational infrastructure of the third (non-profit) sector in Turkey.

Over the past fifteen years, Turkey’s third sector has taken on a heightened momentum of growth and expansion and civil society organizations have taken on a new role as a critical element in an emerging democracy. The number of CSOs being formed continues to grow and they operate at increasing sophistication. With this growth comes a need for more support- more human and financial resources, better management skills, and most importantly, a more enabling environment.

As such, TUSEV’s programming is designed to:

  • Promote a legally and fiscally enabling environment for nonprofit organizations.
  • Encourage strategic and effective flow of resources (human and financial).
  • Facilitate partnerships across the public, private & third sectors.
  • Support and engage the international community in learning about and collaborating with the Turkish third sector.
  • Conduct research on the sector’s role, needs and dynamics to serve as a basis for civil society strengthening initiatives.

We have a deep passion for seeing really dynamic effective corporate responsibility all over the world - it's core to our values and central to our business. So being in from the start with CSR360 GPN was an obvious route for KPMG to help spread the energy and the opportunity for transformed communities where business plays its rightful role driving change and supporting the people and the places who are often forgotten and frequently in need of business engagement. Its our privilege to be involved.
