Introduction to the Partner

Forética is a non-profit multistakeholder organisation working on promoting ethical and socially responsible policies. Forética works with companies and institutions at the core of their corporate values. Based in Spain, its ten years of experience advising the companies have produced solid frameworks for auditable management systems.

Forética was originated at 10th Business Quality and the Environment Congress held in Barcelona in 1999. The congress was attended by a large number of directors and opinion leaders who asked themselves how they might create ‘value’ for a corporate culture based on the concept that all its members have a responsibility both to society and the environment. And from this, several professionals, companies, academics and NGOs created a multidisciplinary forum, where all members collaborated in the promoting of responsible management.

Forética is the spanish leader organisation in the development of CSR management tools. Today it is an info-Point for the European Union on CSR matters, cooperating through different projects for the European Commission and other international Forums, such as GRI as an stakeholder organisation, or CSR Europe as National Partner.

Forética’s core members are: ADIF, Astra Zeneca, Caja Navarra, EADS, Ferrovial, Gas Natural Fenosa, Grupo COFARES, Grupo Fundosa, Grupo Norte, Hospitales Madrid, Metro de Madrid, MSD, Novartis, Renfe, Sanitas, Sanofi-Aventis, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Grupo Zeltia.

We have a deep passion for seeing really dynamic effective corporate responsibility all over the world - it's core to our values and central to our business. So being in from the start with CSR360 GPN was an obvious route for KPMG to help spread the energy and the opportunity for transformed communities where business plays its rightful role driving change and supporting the people and the places who are often forgotten and frequently in need of business engagement. Its our privilege to be involved.
