Introduction to the Partner

Mission and Methods

The East Europe Foundation (EEF) empowers citizens to build their own futures by mobilising resources, strengthening communities, and fostering public-private cooperation.

EEF achieves this mission through targeted support to local nonprofit organisations across Ukraine.
EEF identifies and strengthens partnerships between nonprofit organisations, local authorities, businesses and other local stakeholders.
EEF builds the capacity of its partners to sustain their missions by providing knowledge, skills, financial assistance and other resources.
EEF cultivates innovative development models and fosters synergy among its programs and partners.

Programs
EEF’s board of directors, advisory board, management team and staff constantly seek to refine the Foundation’s program directions, ensuring that EEF maximises its impact for the people of Ukraine. EEF currently focuses on three programs:

  1. Local Economic and Social Development
  2. Effective Governance
  3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Responsible Philanthropy

History
The East Europe Foundation is a Kyiv-based international charitable foundation established in 2007. EEF seeks to carry on the development work of its founder, Eurasia Foundation, which invested more than $44 million in Ukraine over 15 years. With an independent board of directors and a highly-skilled staff of 15, EEF implements economic, community and social development programs for more than 30 donors, including USAID, European governments, multilateral organisations, foundations and corporations working in Ukraine. EEF’s development philosophy is founded on building the capacity of local organisations, creating sustainable partnerships and directing development resources into the hands of local communities.

Testimonial

We have a deep passion for seeing really dynamic effective corporate responsibility all over the world - it's core to our values and central to our business. So being in from the start with CSR360 GPN was an obvious route for KPMG to help spread the energy and the opportunity for transformed communities where business plays its rightful role driving change and supporting the people and the places who are often forgotten and frequently in need of business engagement. Its our privilege to be involved.
