Introduction to the Partner

Established with private sector start-up funding to raise CSR awareness, the CSR Centre’s goal is to promote sustainable development through responsible business practices. Registered as a Trust, under the Trust Act 1882, the autonomous CSR Centre was set up as a non-profit organization in August 2007 and launched publicly in September 2007 under the direction of a Board of Trustees comprised of leading private sector companies and think tanks.

The primary objective of the CSR Centre is to become the prime source of information, resources, and advisory services on CSR in Bangladesh. The primary operational principal is to contribute to achieving development targets set in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Bangladesh through private sector led growth.

CSR Centre is the joint focal point for United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in Bangladesh along with the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI). There are currently 41 UNGC signatories in the country.

Testimonial

We have a deep passion for seeing really dynamic effective corporate responsibility all over the world - it's core to our values and central to our business. So being in from the start with CSR360 GPN was an obvious route for KPMG to help spread the energy and the opportunity for transformed communities where business plays its rightful role driving change and supporting the people and the places who are often forgotten and frequently in need of business engagement. Its our privilege to be involved.
