Introduction to the Partner

COBORSE is a non profit organisation, originally created in 2004 as a Multi Institutional Network to promote and disseminate the concept and practice of Corporate Social Responsibility in order to build a more sustainable and just society, based upon responsible management, the adoption of the United Nations Global Compact principles, and the practice of responsible citizenship among companies and organisations operating in Bolivia.

The 5 areas in which COBORSE works are:

1. Institutional management and networks: To strengthen the institutional capacities of COBORSE and its founding members and associates, through the interaction, synergy and partnerships established with local and international networks
2. Research and development: Promote research and development of information regarding the current state of implementation and evolution of CSR knowledge and practice in Bolivia and the impact it generates in the public agenda.
3. Knowledge management: Development and adaptation of publications and management tools as well as facilitating its dissemination through workshops, seminars and lectures on CSR to improve the knowledge and skills among companies and society in general.
4. Business practices: Development and reinforcement of the internal capacities inside companies and organisations that are interested in acquiring the knowledge as well as applying and communicating responsible management practices.
5. Communication management: To improve the news coverage in CSR, through the professionalisation of media and journalists, the implementation of awards and the establishment of a network of media companies and journalists.

A management model that generates positive impacts in the different stakeholders (workers, clients, community, shareholders, government, civil society, suppliers and investors) with the purpose of improving social capital and quality of life.
