Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) is an independent organisation based in India. CRB was incubated by GIZ, SAI and BSCI over 3 years (2010-2013) as part of a German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) PPP project. CRB is a global centre of excellence facilitating social impacts and organisational behaviour change towards incorporating responsible business strategies, policies and practices.
CRB supports actors and stakeholders across global value chains – international companies, manufacturers and suppliers (SMEs), national and international organisations, and governments – as they promote and move towards a more sustainable and responsible future. CRB’s aims is to contribute to harmonious relationships at workplaces, organisational productivity, environmental sustainability, business continuity and growth.
CRB develops capacity building; action research programmes; and multi-stakeholder initiatives in the field of CSR/sustainable development, particularly focused on human rights and environmental sustainability issues in global value & supply chains. CRB helps build capacities of organisations by designing and implementing self- and co-regulatory social and environmental standards as instruments of responsible business policies and practices.
CRB’s distinctive training methodologies and customisd advisory services enable companies to adopt environmentally responsible practices and support workers’ rights and responsibilities. Workers, managers and owners then all become stakeholders in the growth and success of the organisation and industries. CRB, therefore, acts as a catalyst for change working closely with organisations to transform their business practices and models.

Lord Michael Hastings of Scarisbrick CBEWe have a deep passion for seeing really dynamic effective corporate responsibility all over the world - it's core to our values and central to our business. So being in from the start with CSR360 GPN was an obvious route for KPMG to help spread the energy and the opportunity for transformed communities where business plays its rightful role driving change and supporting the people and the places who are often forgotten and frequently in need of business engagement. Its our privilege to be involved.
