On 10th September 2015 the winners of the 11th PROhumana Corporate Sustainability Ranking were announced. The first place platinum seal was awarded to Bci, for the second consecutive year, the second place golden seal to Mall Plaza and the third place silver seal to L’Oréal Chile.

The PROhumana Corporate Sustainability Ranking evaluates the management of companies based on the development of policy, practice and programs in integral management and governance, internal public, suppliers, clients and/or consumers, community and environment.

The award ceremony assembled 350 people at the W Hotel and was attended by the Minister of Economics, Luis Felipe Cédpedes, as well as undersecretaries, authorities and personalities from both the corporate and civic sector.
In his speech, the Minister Luis Felipe Céspedes highlighted the high level of competitiveness of the companies participating in the PROhumana Corporate Sustainability Ranking ‘not only in the economic field, but also in the social and environmental’ which generates ‘sustainable growth and at the same time, a great challenge for the company’. He emphasized that one of the keys to sustainable management in the companies is the relationship with suppliers.

The Executive President of PROhumana, Soledad Teixidó, congratulated the companies ‘not because they are perfect, but since a company that is managed by the PROhumana Strategic Model for a Sustainable Business has to have a lot of courage, to be aligned to global requirements, and also to be exposed to the public scrutiny in a year like this, shows the commitment that has been taken to be a sustainable company and their assurance to be one’.

The ceremony also featured the words of Alberto Salas, President of the CPC, who identified the ‘importance of this award to the concept of sustainability in corporate development.’
