Posted: Wednesday 2 February 11, 3.31pm GMT

Responsible Business Forum has launched its newest publication for Polish companies about Responsible Supply Chain Management entitled "Shared responsibility – supplies and purchases’ role”. The publication contains 13 articles followed by an overview of initiatives on supply chain.

Supply chain is present in every company – it is represented by stakeholders who deliver products and services indispensable for creating the final product that can be delivered to the consumers. Suppliers are food manufacturers, workers of apparel factories, outsourced marketers and graphics, etc. Important matters that must be taken into consideration in the area of relations with suppliers are payments, preventing corruption, complying with employment rights, and responsible sourcing.

“We are hoping that our publication will enable the readers to become familiar with the topic of Responsible Supply Chain Management and will be an inspiration for implementing responsible practices in their companies. Responsible Business Forum will aspire to include Responsible Supply Chain Management in business debates” – states in the preface Mirella Panek-Owsiańska, Chairman of the Responsible Business Forum.

“Shared responsibility – supplies and purchases’ role” is a collection of articles on Responsible Supply Chain Management edited by Natalia Ćwik from Responsible Business Forum. Jan Kopper from CSR Europe is one of the authors. The publication is available online (in Polish only) and is free of charge.
