The first international course of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development to place in Buenos Aires from February 9th to April 30th took. The course was held at the University of Buenos Aires in alliance with the University of Sodertorns (Sweden), Kulturstudier (Norway), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the social enterprise Amartya.
International CSR Course
The principal objective of the course was to offer students distinct theoretical perspectives, methodologies, and empirical studies related to the principal topics that make up CSR and Sustainable Development. In this first edition, the program included students from Norway, Sweden, and Germany.
With the idea of achieving a holistic approach towards CSR, several national and international teachers participated in the program, in addition to local representatives from the public sector, the private sector, and the civil society. Additionally, a large part of the lectures and work seminars were given in diverse environments, such as at businesses like TNT or Natura, social grass roots organizations, other local universities like UNSAM and FLACSO, the United Nations (Global Compact Argentina) and the City Council of Buenos Aires.
