Give & Gain in Beijing organised by Fuping Development Institute

Posted: Tuesday 11 July 17, 3.57pm GMT

In June, Citi celebrated its 12th annual Global Community Day and Fuping Development Institute in Beijng supported the global bank to give back through Give & Gain 2017.

200 volunteers from Citi went into Xingzhi migrant kids school and had a nice day with more than 500 migrant kids and their teachers. During the day the volunteers from Citi Beijing spent time doing activities suitable for a range of ages including reading stories to Grade 2 students and holding a sports meeting for grade 3 students. With grade 4 students the volunteers designed blackboard newspapers that were distributed to all the classes, while with grade 5 students, they discussed financial management. As grade 6 students were graduating, they took this chance to celebrate this achievement with students and teachers through a Graduate Party.

On this day, Citi donated books, air conditioners and sport facilities to the school. All the volunteers shared knowledge with the students of the school and had a great experience being part of a corporate volunteering activity where they could spend time with their co-workers, and in many cases met new people from teams they do not regularly work with. Students, teachers and volunteers, all had a great time.
