FUNDAHRSE and the Dansk Handicap Forbund (DHF) organized a breakfast called "Disability, a cross-sectional theme for social responsibility" exclusive for companies in Honduras. The event was organised to better understand the implications of being disabled when looking for and securing employment.
The event was attended by several institutions such as representatives of the National Federation of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (FENOPDIH), representatives of the Deaf (ASH) and representatives of the Blind (UNCIH). DHF presented its strategy and scope as well as their pilot project to be implemented by DHF, Fundahrse and member companies.
The breakfast invited coordinators, human resources managers and CSR managers of the member companies of Fundahrse. Company representatives and organizations that supported people with disabilities discussed how they could work together to promote the participation and integration of disabled people in work, and in this way, identify the opportunities that companies have to be more inclusive.
Fundahrse is committed to the search for alliances and development of actions to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labour and social sphere. The organised will continue to champion this agenda at the National CSR Conference to be held from 17 – 19 May in Honduras. The theme for the conference this year is “Inclusion of Disability with Corporate Social Responsibility”
