Forética and SGS have signed a cooperation agreement which gives access to obtain certification for the ESG standard SGE 21 (Sistema de Gestión Ética y Socialmente Responsable SGE 21, in Spanish) to organizations in 17 Latin American countries.
The agreement is born from “the necessity to bring tools to organizations allowing them to evaluate the degree of compliance with their CSR policies and strategies”, according to both of the signatory parties.
“After ten years of experience and over 80 companies whom have implemented the standard in the European context, with the cooperation of SGS we have detected the demand and interest in the Latin American market to advance towards the use of integral and rigorous CSR management tools” says German Granda, General Manager of Forética.
The agreement means the internationalization of the SGE 21 Standard which becomes the first certifiable CSR standard with transnational and regional reach. At the present, in Spain there are 68 organizations, from SMEs to multinational companies which have voluntarily opted to adopt SGE 21 to certify their CSR policies and strategies. Additionally, almost a hundred organizations use this standard to internally manage their CSR strategies.
