Posted: Wednesday 11 August 10, 1.46pm GMT

The Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad and Casa Asia, a public consortium made up of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Catalan parliament, the Barcelona City Council and the City of Madrid, organized an event on CSR on July 13 at the Spanish Pavilion at Shanghai’s Expo.

The purpose of this “Corporate Responsibility in Enterprise” day was to showcase best business practices in CSR. Executives representing companies explained how they have integrated responsible practices within their business strategies. The Catalogue of Best Practices in Corporate responsibility was distributed to the participants. Eduardo Montes, president of the Sustainability Excellence Club and of FerroAtlántica, inaugurated the event.

Elsewhere, Instituto de Empresa, the prestigious business school, in collaboration with Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad launched the first edition of the Executive Program in Corporate Responsibility Management Latin America edition in July. The program is a reduced and intensive version of the Annual Program and alumni list is composed of CR Managers from all over Latin America.
