BITC launches a new International Disaster Relief Programme

BITC has launched a new International Disaster Relief programme.

BITC has launched a new International Disaster Relief Programme which is being supported by the Department of International Development. The programme is focused on raising awareness, convening and inspiring business through best practice exchange and developing a mechanism to increase engagement and collaboration between business and the humanitarian community in the aftermath of international disaster relief.

Businesses play an important role in international disaster relief, risk reduction and preparedness. Beyond cash, businesses can offer support in many innovative ways, from humanitarian partnering initiatives to providing logistics, technical expertise, in-kind resources, staff volunteering, products and services.
To launch this programme and the inaugural International Disaster Relief Award there will be a breakfast event with Alan Duncan, The Minister of State for International Development., central London on 3rd December, 8.30am – 10.30am.
