Awards for Excellence 2012: Big Ticks and Shortlisted Companies

We're delighted to announce the companies that have achieved a Big Tick in this year's Awards for Excellence and those that have been shortlisted for the prize of overall winner in each category.

  • Arts & Business Award
  • Asda Environmental Leadership Award
  • Bank of America Merrill Lynch Education Award
  • Channel 4 Work Inspiration Award
  • Climate Change Award in association with the Mayday Journey
  • Dairy Crest Rural Action Award
  • Elmfield Training: Workplace Talent & Skills Award
  • International Award
  • Jaguar Land Rover Building Stronger Communities Award
  • ways2work Award
  • Workwell Award

These results were announced in the Financial Times Responsible Business supplement on 30 May 2012.

Big Ticks are awarded to companies whose programmes have demonstrated a positive impact. Shortlisted companies go forward to judging panels and the overall winners are announced at a Gala Dinner with HRH The Prince of Wales on 27 June 2012.

Including all national and regional award entries, BITC received 394 Award entries in 2011. 123 entries resulted in National Big Tick awards, and 65 of these were shortlisted for the Example of Excellence within their category. 87 companies had their 2009/2010 national Big Ticks reaccredited this year.
