Pontis launches Corporate Social Responsibility awards

Posted: Wednesday 28 January 09, 5.07pm GMT

Starting from January 15, 2009, the Pontis Foundation accepts nominations for the 2008 Via Bona Slovakia Awards (via bona is Latin for good way). The Awards’ aim is to express public recognition to companies and entrepreneurs that further corporate social responsibility and corporate philanthropy in Slovakia. Pontis will be handing out the annual Via Bona Slovakia Awards for the ninth time.

There are 10 Via Bona Slovakia categories in 2008, reflecting the continuing development in the areas of CSR and corporate philanthropy in Slovakia. Besides the two Main Awards – traditionally given separately to large corporations and to small/medium enterprises – new categories will be added this year to evaluate individual aspects of CSR and corporate philanthropy.

Closing date: 13th February 2009.

The Via Bona Slovakia Awards committee evaluates the submitted nominations from the point of view of quality. The evaluation process and its criteria are set up so as to create conditions for the greatest possible impartiality and transparency. Winners of the 2008 Via Bona Slovakia Awards will be announced by the Pontis Foundation at a festive gala evening on 2nd April 2009.
