Richard Peel joined Camelot Group as Director of Corporate Affairs in February 2008, having previously been Managing Director of RPPR, a consultancy he founded specialising in strategic communications, public affairs and PR. Prior to that, Richard spent two years as Managing Director of Communications and Public Reporting at The Audit Commission, and between 2000 and 2003 was Director of Public Affairs, Nations and Regions at the Independent Television Commission.
In a career spanning more than 20 years, Richard was also the first Director of Corporate Affairs for the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and spent more than 10 years at the BBC in a variety of high-profile roles – latterly as Controller of Communication for BBC News.
