Mark & Spencer’s Ethical Trading Team
Ethical Trading Team
Marks and Spencers
The Ethical Trading team responsible for clothing and home at Marks & Spencer is made up of Fiona Sadler Head of Ethical Trading (right), Anna Harvey Ethical Trading Manager (centre) and Fran Lane Assistant Ethical Trading Manager (left) all based in the UK and a team of regional compliance managers based in our overseas offices who report to Fiona.
The team is responsible for developing and communicating the Ethical Trading strategy to suppliers to ensure they meet the M&S Global Sourcing Principles and the ETI Base Code. This involves continually reviewing and promoting ethical policies and principles and formulating methods to help suppliers to continually improve their labour standards and compliance in the whole supply chain. The regional teams are responsible for promoting good labour standards and supporting the supply chain locally.
As part of Plan A, Marks & Spencer’s 5 year eco-plan, the Ethical team have made public commitments to help improve conditions in our supply chain by tackling key issues such as living wages and worker education.
