Juan Ángel Poyatos

Juan Ángel Poyatos is an Economist. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Valencia (1999) as well as a Degree in Marketing, ESIC Marketing Business School (2001). From 2006 he has been Deputy Director of the Foundation of Solidarity and Voluntary Work of the Valencian Community, FUNDAR.
Since 2006 he has worked on a series of volunteering projects and is internationally renowned as an expert in corporate volunteering. As the general coordinator of the international corporate volunteering network, Voluntaré, he has developed a number of diverse research projects such as ‘Corporate Volunteering in Spain and Latin-America: common and disparate features’ or ‘Online tool for the measurement and evaluation of the impact of corporate volunteering programmes’. For the past four years he has managed the ENGAGE Valencia programme for over 30 companies such as BBVA, Barclays, BP, IBM, Iberdrola, KPMG, Deloitte, amongst others. Currently, he is researcher and academic in corporate volunteering at the University of Alcalá de Henares and the Politechnic University of Valencia.
