This report is the first attempt to provide a snapshot representation of how the 43 companies listed on the Hang Seng Index weigh up on their CSR policies and practices. Oxfam Hong Kong see this as an initial effort to assess current CSR initiatives and as a basis for further dialogue with companies on sustainable social and environment development as well as poverty reduction. This paper is based on a survey undertaken by CSR Asia, with Professor Richard Welford and Ms. Jacqui Dixon as the principal researchers.
