“Shared Responsibility – How to Increase the Visibility and Effectiveness of the EU CSR framework”

This year, it is Poland’s great privilege and responsibility to hold its first Presidency of the Council of the European Union and to host numerous significant European events. Global challenges combined with the financial crisis of recent times make it abundantly clear how much remains to be done if societies’ trust in governments and the private sector is to recover, and a more balanced economic growth achieved.

The overall aim of the conference is to discuss key challenges and opportunities, as well as the role of social partners, in particular private sector in achieving smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Furthermore, we would like to emphasise the need to increase the transparency and accountability, including non-financial performance, as well as to improve the mainstreaming of CSR in relevant European and domestic policies.

Places are limited therefore we encourage you to sign up early at: www.CSRpolishpresidency.eu/application-form

Registration closing date is 31 July 2011 or earlier (subject to availability).

The Conference is being organised as a green event, which means that measures are taken to reduce the negative environmental impact of the organisation process and the event itself, in particular as regards climate change and waste reduction. After the Conference, the organisers will ensure the offset of the event, i.e. the Conference’s carbon footprint will be neutralised.
