Stakeholder relations in challenging times

Responsible Business Forum is organizing its 8th annual conference concerning the most important and urgent topics that constitute global and Polish CSR agenda. The event will take place on 24th November in Warsaw.

Responsible Business Forum 2009 (FOB 2009) is one of the most important CSR events in Poland. The event creates a discussion platform for experts representing various social sectors with the key role of responsible and sustainable business.

This year’s Forum will gather Polish business and civil society leaders to discuss the topic of building and developing stakeholder relations in challenging times. During the global financial crisis stakeholder relations are seen as a crucial issue on CSR agenda. Crisis creates opportunity for the companies to listen to the voices of consumers, suppliers and employees and search for valuable information or inspiration which may help companies building their competitive advantage. Economic slowdown also gives a chance to develop strategic partnerships with NGOs and transform them from simple philanthropy to more complex models.

During the conference the winners of the Sustainability Reports 2009 will be announced – the third edition of Polish awards for best sustainability reporting, organized by CSR Consulting, Responsible Business Forum and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

FOB 2009 is organized by the Responsible Business Forum Association – the first nongovernmental organization in Poland to provide in-depth focus on the concept of corporate social responsibility. Forum was established in Warsaw in 2000 as an initiative of Polish businesspeople, academics and NGOs.
